This project is from the Dept. of Works Art-Built-in Program. The commission was to provide artworks to cover the buildings's vents in three locations. The brief specified that the works must compliment other works of art on the facade of the building and two dimensional work on the outside wall
The two works were installed on the night of 9th April 2008. Because the streets had to be closed the installation had to be conducted at night.
Blue Prism comes alive at night with blue lights streaming through the vents
A team of 5 workers came together and the project was completed without a hitch.

The site at Mary St was calling for a simple and sophisticated structure due to the complexity and the limitation imposed by the awning which seems to frame the artwork.
The result is a well proportioned use of the space. This quiet structure seems to come alive after dark with white lights contained within the work
Here is the Third Element of the Commission
